Features · Chiefs

Talk to one chief. It runs the work.

A chief is an agent that leads the others. Tell it what you want, once. It plans the job, picks who does each part, gives every agent its own brief, and comes back with one short message: what’s done and where the files are. You don’t have to find the right agent, explain the job again, or check on anyone.

One goal in, one message out. Each agent’s finished work shows as a single line in the chief’s chat.

How a job goes

You say the goal. The chief does the rest.

1

Tell the chief what you want

In plain words, with a link or a folder if it helps. The chief works out the format, where files go and who does what. It asks you at most one thing, and only what it can’t decide for you.

2

It hands out the work

Each part becomes a card on the chief’s board, given to the agent who fits it, with a brief that says what to do, what to hand back and where. If nobody fits, the chief drafts a new agent for you to approve.

3

One message when it’s all in

The agents work while you do something else. When the last one finishes, the chief tells you what’s done and where each file is. Click a file to open it.

Why you don’t talk to each agent

The chief keeps everyone on the same page.

A brief for every agent

Each agent gets the job written for it: the goal, what to hand back, and where to work. You explain it once, to the chief.

Only what the job needs

An agent works in its own chat with its brief, the desk’s shared folder and any folder you named. It writes only in its own folder and the desk’s; anywhere else is refused.

Questions come to the chief

When an agent needs something, the question shows in the chief’s chat. The chief answers what it knows from the board, the reports and the files, and asks you only what only you can answer.

No check-ins

Agents don’t report every step and the chief doesn’t chase them. Ask “how’s the video going?” and it answers from the board.

Your mode carries over

Work handed out from a chat in Plan stays in Plan; from Auto, it runs. An agent asks before anything that spends money, sends, publishes or deletes, as it always does.

Still yours to talk to

You can open any agent and talk to it yourself. Work you give it directly shows on the chief’s board too, so nothing is missed.

The board

See every job at a glance.

Each chief keeps a board of cards: one job for one agent. Cards move from Inbox to Working to Done, and anything that needs you waits in its own column. See the board as a list or as columns, and look back over today, yesterday or this week.

Agents that work together share a desk, and each desk has a folder where they leave what the next one needs. Each card shows who has it, how far it got and what it cost.

Any agent can lead

Mo starts as your chief of staff.

Mo is there from the start. Turn on “Leads other agents” for any agent to make it a chief too, and give it a title: Chief of staff, of content, of sales, of design, of engineering, or your own. Your chiefs sit at the top of the sidebar, your agents below.

Short and plain

A chief talks less and does more.

One line when the work goes out, one short message when it’s all in. No progress reports while it runs, no jargon, and at most one question. Sizes, checks and details only when something is wrong or you ask.

How to start

Three steps.

1

Open Mo

Mo sits at the top of the sidebar under Chiefs. Or make any agent a chief in its settings.

2

Say what you want

A launch kit, a tutorial series, a list of leads: the goal, in your words, with a link or folder if you have one.

3

Open the files

When the message comes, click a file to open it, or open the board to see who did what.
